Learn and develop traditional djembe technique, rhythms and drum songs. All skill levels are welcomed.

Meetup group dedicated to african american poets and those who love poetry. The group will meet up to share our own poetry among each other and to attend local open mics and poetry events in Chicago and the south suburban area. We will also host several spoken word events.

Our Vision is to create a spiritual community of musicians, artists, singers, chanters, and dancers who come together on mother earth under our father sky. We will play the rhythms and sounds of ancient & modern tribes, aboriginal groups and devotional music. The musicians will play music, while the artists are welcome to paint or sculpt their visions.       We are a group of ladies who love to travel to fun and exotic places, and have fun !!! We plan 6-8 trips per year to budget conscious destinations. Most people go on 2-3 trips per year -- some more, some less. We always have a payment plan to keep it affordable for all! We go every where  from musical concerts like Essence Music Fest in New Orleans, to cruise vacations and girlfriend getaways to the islands.
